New Summer Classes Online Now!

New Waxed Flowers Sample...

This spring, I am offering my Waxed Flowers class in two venues.  First at the Castle on April 16th, and then at Chateau Sonoma on April 30th.  At the Chateau we will be focusing on white flowers, specifically orange and apple blossoms, inspired by my collection of vintage wedding wreaths.  I created this lovely wreath above, as my sample.  See side-bar on right for more details.

Fabric Jewelry Party...

I was invited to teach 6 lovely women 'Fabric Jewelry' one evening last week.  What fun they had!  Just look at them modeling their results above!  Wine and Hors d'œuvre were on the menu, conversation flowed and creativity soared!  BRAVO Girls!!!

Chateau Sonoma Heart Box Class Samples!

Mask Class Results!

Last weekend I had 10 women join me in creating masks at a shop in Healdsburg called Fabrications. What fun we had!  Wonderful variations on the theme, like turning my 'JackFrost Mask' into a true Mardi Gras confection above, a couple of different Roosters, a Kestrel, and even a green Rabbit!  Just look at these amazing masks!

Reliquaries At Chateau Sonoma!

 Chateau Sonoma  is my absolute favorite shop North of the Bay Area!  So I am thrilled to be offering it as a new teaching venue.  This past Sunday 8 wonderful women joined me in a 'Reliquary Class' held at the home of Sarah Anderson, owner of Chateau Sonoma.  We felt as if we had been transported to Provence, nestled in the dining room of her truly stunning home!  Surrounded by French antiques, beautiful views and good company, amazing art was created by all!  

Sarah is in the process of creating a 'classroom' at her shop, where I hope to offer many more classes in the near future.  Stay tuned for more wonderful classes to take place at Chateau Sonoma HERE! as well as on the sidebar of my blog.

DESCRIPTION:

This paper carousel looks like it came straight out of a fairytale!  Inspired by 'The Emperor and the Nightingale', it features a lovely pagoda shaped roof, a flock of birds any ornithologist would envy and a lazy susan base - so that it can turn just like a real carousel!  In class you will learn the basics of creating a 3/d paper theatre while working with a variety of papers and trims.  (14 inch by 18 inch)

Enchanted Rose Theatre Sample for ZNE!

OK, can you tell I'm on a creative wave???  Here is my second sample for ConvenZioNE 2009. Class Description:

Miss Rose has crepe paper petals surrounding her hand-molded Fimo face.  Her dress is fashioned from a variety of papers and trims.  Peek under her skirts and a magical scene is revealed - an inner dream perhaps?  Or her own fairytale conclusion...  Miss Rose stands approximately 15 inches tall.
