I am thrilled to be participating in 2 Halloween shows this year!
Tinsel and Treasures will be held Saturday, September 13th ~ and Halloween and Vine will be on September 27th! Both shows promise to be a perfect welcome into Fall's festivities!!!
My studio is a whirl with Halloween happenings, and a mess with new designs! Here is a peek at what's happening and what is inspiring me this year! More soon!!!

I have been a huge fan of Oliver Hunter's art ever since I discovered his work on Endicott Studio. These new images have a completely different flavor then his earlier designs, but still share his love of fairytales and myth. They remind me a bit of Leon Bakst's Ballet Designs in their delicate and colorful lines. For one so young, Oliver is truly a fairytale illustration master!!!

Its that time of year again, and my push towards Halloween is in full force! Loving this bleach & cotton skeleton corset found on Deviant Art!
Recently John McRae of the CASTLE created this amazing Chocolate Ormolu Box! Look closely, nothing is as it appears... Mouthwatering delicacies are crafted from shiny paper and glass glitter, pick one up and secret compartments appear! The 'glass' is in fact sheets of Mica, and the delicate 'Ormolu', antiqued paper dresden. Truly this is a masterwork by the 'Master of Dresden' himself! BRAVO!!! (size approx. 1 foot square)
One of my students brought this delightful 'Surprise Ball' to share with me recently! Inspired by a French postcard of the same theme, she created this CABBAGE BABY to give to a new Grandmother! Inside, wrapped within yards of crepe paper streamers, it is charmingly filled with tiny toys to keep new grandchildren occupied!
Where does the time go? These are images from the 'Fairytale Altered Book' Class that I taught a couple of weeks ago at the CASTLE! Great group of students, and wonderful wonderful inspiring work! Can't you just imagine the stories being told???
