First, let me set the record straight: I am no minimalist! I also happen to be a lover of 'things' and was born with a 'collecting' gene! Add that to living in a 1,300 square foot house, with two other 'semi-collectors' and you get the picture... Our home is "creatively filled" and has no 'empty walls, nooks or crannies'! Recently I moved my collection of Chinese Baby~Hats into the house from my studio. They were getting too much exposure to dust and light, and I felt that putting them behind glass was the best solution to keep them intact. Of course this ment I had to empty my glass vitrine and find new homes for what previously filled it, but thats another story... Sundays purchase of a delightful little pair of Chinese slipper boots, had me rearranging again, making room for yet another addition. As you can see the inside is full to overflowing, but I just had to have the boots! On top of my case, sit my growing collection of Asian baby-dolls, and a few more hats. I made the hat stands from glass candlesticks with lucite poles hot glued into them. The art work is a favorite by Sara whose work I adore, and the colors fit the corner perfectly! Once a collector always a collector!!!
