Last night I came home to a phone message from my friend Joann, saying "Ulla, there's a garage sale tomorrow morning, that has 'Antique Doll Parts' and 'Artists supplies' listed on it, I think we should go!" How could I resist??? Well, little did I know what we'd find! At 9:00 sharp, Joann, her daughter Iris and I walked over and found what had to be the best Garage Sale I have been to yet! Just look at the loot I found! I started with the 'Antique Doll Parts' of course, and filled a huge bags worth of heads, arms, and legs... Then I wandered over to the 'Religious section' and found, madonnas, a matchstick cross, nichos and frames. From there I gathered up 2 horse skulls, yes 2 and a pair of antelope antlers! Iris thought they were a little creepy, but I think they'll be great in our yard, as long as the dog doesn't decide to eat them! I added bits of jewelry, a funny carved bear with wings, a wonderful bigger than life marble pointing finger, a bucket of soapstone, a bag of paper 'collage material' and much more! Joann, found just as many goodies, and Iris kept busy looking for treasures in the 'Free' boxes. You know you've hit it big, when you find good stuff in the boxes marked 'free'!!! We had to get the car to bring it all home, but boy was it worth it!!!
