Laetitia Mieral found my blog recently, and since then we have quietly become friends. To say that I admire her work is an understatement. How can I not fall in love with someone who imagines a 'frog riding a snail' or a 'fairy princess on a fish'? But one must look deeper still, discover the colors and textures on the papers she creates to form her puppets, see the details in each piece - how a gown is buttoned, or a shoe clasped, fall deep into the souls of those eyes she paints - delicate strokes that lead us into her world.
