Its been a bleak 5 days in terms of water and sewage in our house. Last Night we finally had water to spare, and new pipes to drain. My Husband and Daughter sang a 'I love the water, the water loves me' song, while taking extra long showers and loading up the washing machine and dishwasher. The Dog and I sat stunned and a bit dazed by it all, after a day of young men walking around the house, pounding under the house, using electric diggers and yelling numerous expletives (fortunately in Spanish, so it wasn't too nasty to my ears...) What started as a small hole by our house (on Thursday) became a long trench on Monday. We lost two large trees, including a lovely 10 foot Japanese Maple! Today you wouldn't be able to tell anyone was here... But WE know, and we are so happy to finally be able to function normally again...!
