Goodness we all had such a marvelous time yesterday in MERRYVILLE! After the amazing parade, where Rosa stole the show, (with her decorated wagon and horses,) we women all gathered down by the lake, for fun and gossip. A few of us dipped into Clarice's Sangria a little early and shared some smooth moves with the rest of us... Thank goodness Young Mr. Staggs was there to gather us all together again and keep our behavior in line! The men felt it necessary to huddle at the drugstore, (goodness knows what they were discussing...) but I do think they enjoyed our antics and play in the sand! Last but not least, our Hostess Dear Mrs. Staggs showed us the finer points of lake-fishing, (doesn't she look fetching in her new tarten hat?) catching enough little silver treasures to make us all want more! Oh so delicious... It was indeed a 4th to remember, and everyone left with smiles on their faces, and joy in their hearts!!! (Photos from Flickr)
