I love the swirls and swishes of old handwriting. So I was delighted when Corey A. sent me the link to art-quilterAngela Moll. Angela has created a Secret Diary series composed of bits and pieces of screen printed fabrics. I use the collaged and stitched diary fragments to speak about intimacy, communication, as well as privacy and isolation."
Her work reminded me of the Jewelry created by Clare Hillerby who delights in the idea of 'message making'. (link via Daily Poetics) "The messages are always ambiguous and represent the idea of short uncertain conversations."
As artists we reveal our 'thoughts' and 'messages' in many different mediums and techniques. Consciously or unconsciously our art becomes our own personal envoy - herald of our hearts...
