I am off to teach Paper Theatre's today, a class of 11 -YIKES! These images are by a local Berkeley artist Cleo Papanikolas. She has a delightful new book out called 'Cook Until Desired Tenderness', full of whimsical paintings and stories with an emphasis on food and cooking... I love her paintings done on dishcloths, as if the food suddenly came alive! But, truth be told I am really anxious to see her new book, a flip-book called 'Menu', illustration below. Cleo has taught at the Castle and is as wonderful personally as her books are!
