SUMMER DREAMS...
I've been feeling blue the last couple of days, no reason just a mood... So this morning when I found THIS POST I felt inspired to make my own 'wishing for summer' list... and perhaps turn my blues into pinks...
Hoping for summer...
~ having tea with the mockingbird who sings at 1:00 in the morning in our neighbors tree
~ dipping my toes in a cool clear stream
~ flying my kite with the seagulls at the coast
~ cherry tarts and lemonade floats under the apple tree
~ watching the sunrise while drinking dew-drop wine in my pj's
~ having a Mid-summer's Masked ball in the garden
~ wearing old lace dresses with flower ribbons
~ laying so quietly in the sun that the butterflies kiss my cheeks
~ hearing the laughter of children as they play hide and seek
~ making rose petal cupcakes
~ swimming underwater and listening to the silence
~ skipping with a dear friend down an old twisted path
~ finding tattered and torn treasures and wearing them
~ creating fairytales under the shadow of great mountains
~ drawing wildflower bouquets
~ ...
Care to join me? What do you wish for???
(Photos from the breathtakingly beautiful blog Au fil de...)

I add to your list ( for me)
- having a pastis in the nice provencal harbour of Cassis
- discovering Dubrovnik

One of the things I wished for in cold, cold February already came true...daffodils coming up in the yard. Now I hope I'll remember to treasure this season until winter comes again.

Sitting outside on the warm pavement at 9pm when it's still somewhat light out and the warm air carries the voices of kids playing outside..

Dear Ulla,
I hope you feel less blue today!! Your summer todo's and the poem you share inspire me to remember how important it is to take advantage of the seasons. Soon in Tx. and NJ it will be too hot. Still, you reminded me of something I haven't done for awhile. Laying on the ground and staring up at the clouds or stars in the sky. It's been too way too long since I've done that.
Happy Sunday!

What a nice way to chase the blues away and the photos are so ethereal. It was wonderful seeing you last week and giving you a real hug and feeling a little of your creative fairy dust. Your summer wish list is poetic and beautiful. Thank you for sharing yourself with us. We are here for you when you are up or down, sending thoughts of comfort and warmth...Iva

A beautiful list Ulla...one to chase the blues away.
One thing on my list would be Elderberry Blossom drink...it always reminds me of a summer day in Denmark.

I can't improve much on that list, Ulla. Maybe for fewer blue days for you.

Bonjour, Ulla! I'm sorry to hear that you have been feeling blue these last few days. It's frustrating when the veil of sadness is thrown over us, isn't it? I hope your tomorrow is bright and happy.
Your Summer Wish List is wonderful. I especially like how everything on your list is POSSIBLE! You can do ALL of those things! Do you really know how to make rose petal cupcakes and dew drop wine?? If so, it just goes to prove that you really are a fairy. :)
And your links are also wonderful. Au fil's photograph are simply stunning. They just made me want to cry and laugh with delight all at the same time. Thank you for finding them for us.

Hi Ulla,
I understand how you feel....I, too have been feeling very down the last few days. Not even like other days I've had when I was not up to being my ususual self. Just feeling so despondent and tired. Maybe the long winter is still hanging on in my mind and I just need to get out into the sunshine more. I hope you are feeling better, though. Your blog is one thing that lifts my spirits every day! Sometimes I check it twice a day even! Thank you for always sharing such beautiful, touching things!
Take care,
Debbie

Good morning, Ulla. Your post could not be more apropo (did I spell that right???) I'm devoting myself to fulltime daydreaming these days in an effort to refresh and refocus. Even changed my main blog home. Wishing and dreaming AND acting feels so wonderful.
