I always think fancy dress was so well done way back when. Too many shops selling rubbish outfits now.

Oh to be invited to a Fancy Dress Ball. I love fancy costumes. Tomorrow I will dress up and take my fairy and pirate out trick or treating. Happy Halloween Ulla!

Oh! I love fancy dress costumes from earlier periods; they are so much fun! Another place I love to look for inspiration for decadent, costume-goodness is silent film stars (my favorite site is http://www.silentladies.com/Ladies.html); they certainly pulled out all the stops back then! :) lol.
