Pumpkin Theatre Class At The Castle!
Have you seen all those wonderful 'faux pumpkins' in the craft stores, and wondered what to do with them? I taught a class yesterday at the Castle that offers a perfect solution! We cut them in half, carved out the front and made 'Pumpkin Theatres' of them! We also added crepe paper curlicues and leaves for a realistic look... It was really fun, and as you can see, the students did a marvelous job!!! (last photo is my sample pumpkin)

what a great idea. i wonder where you find all the great stuff to go inside. i really love the mule! and your witch hats. i like a pointy hat on almost anything. it is always a little dangerous - no matter the color!

I love these. Now I want to go the store and get some pumpkins. Maybe this weekend. I wonder when they will be marked down. I'm so cheap. They are great and would make a fabulous Thanksgiving centerpiece too...the wheels are spinning.

"Pumpkin Theater", the name is great and so is the idea! Just as fascinating as Christmas shop windows, one could watch these and imagine stories for hours. We don't do this yet in France. Maybe you should export your wonderful knowledge? ;-)

"Even a man who is pure at heart and says his prayers by night may become a wolf when the wolfbane blooms and the autumn moon is bright." What no wolfman? Guess I'll have to get busy and make my own. What a great idea you had! The pumpkins are gorgeous.

What a great idea! You really end up with such creative attendees. Either that or you are wonderful at inspiring their creativity! I'm sure it's a bit of both.

These are incredible, Ulla. I'm stamping my feet wishing I could have been there. Somehow we have to get you over here on the East Coast to teach a class. Or perhaps we need to find you a how-to book publisher?

"Put her in a pumpkin shell and there he kept her very well".
