MOONBEAM DELIGHT!

Dscn8205b600x600d1

Tis time dear friends, when ghouls, ghosts and goblins show themselves to all... The moon is full, and time stands still...

Upon dear Luna's luminescence flow bubbles of delight... carrying an invitation one cannot refuse...

Smile, Dance, Laugh... Its time to go to the BLOGLANDIA BALL!!! Chose a costume, sure to amuse and charm... Delicious excess is my attire of choice...

Do you need an escort, to guide your way? I hear of one who follows songs only a 'night-owl' can hear...
Dscn7621

Let him guide you in a 'ship' of wonder... tred lightly across the skies, under a celestial body so bright, to a place unknown...

Fear not dear ones, grab your wings and fly! Tonight is sure to be filled with joy, as we dance with friends under a heavenly body so blithe and full... Reach high, grab a MOONBEAM and soar... as my ghost, my spirit, my specter, will meet you on the other side!!!

Embroidered Death...

These stunning embroideries are by Italian Angelo Filomeno. "Filomeno's lavish scenes and organic forms are painstakingly 'painted' with a sewing machine and hoop onto the fabric, (silk shantung) which is then stretched over linen. Filomeno details these narrative scenes with an appliquéd spray of crystals and semi-precious gemstones, flaunting both his fantastical conceptions and his astonishing craftsmanship." Beautiful!!!

Procession of the Ghouls

SOMEDAY I dream of seeing this - held in The Cathedral of St. John the Divine, New York, The Procession of the Ghouls is part of The Halloween Extravaganza! "The evening's entertainment begins with a screening of a classic horror film. In 2004, they showed the 1920 silent film The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari and in 2005, they showed the 1928 version of The Phantom of the Opera starring Lon Chaney. Cathedral Organist Timothy Brumfield provides an eerie soundtrack for this haunting classic film. The Cathedral truly embodies the spirit of Halloween, with dim lighting and a ghostly feeling created by the organ music.
Following the movie, The Grand Procession of the Ghouls begins, again accompanied by the Cathedral's outstanding organist. Ralph Lee, who created New York City's Halloween Parade, stages an impressive parade of ghoulish characters who slowly work their way down the center aisle, often interacting with audience members. The costumes are impressive and the ghouls stay perfectly in character, which makes for an enjoying experience for young and old alike." LinkHalloween0042

GAME OF THE MOON

"This game shows us how to put in the lottery two or three numbers, indicated by the accompanying face. But it should be made use of only by those who have dreamed of lottery, and be chanced on the lottery of the nearest city. When you dream of lottery, make yourself sure of the day of the moon, then take the number indicated in the face; for instance, your dream occurs on the second day of the moon. Look for number two in the larger circle of numbers, and you will find 2, 1, 36. If it is the 29th day you will find 29, 48, &c., for all the days of the moon." The Sunset's Bat & Serpent design originates with Celtic mythology and symbolizes the triumph of science and modern medicine over witchcraft. A mere $1,887.00, puts it out of my price range, but a girl can dream... Link
