BODICE TRANSFORMATION

I will be at the Castle all weekend teaching the 'Woodland Journal', a book created from copper sheets and transparencies.
Here is some delightful EYE CANDY from David and Paul! The first photo shows a wonderful antique stripped silk taffeta bodice panel. In a fitting honor to the anonymous woman who first stiched this breathtaking gown, David and Paul have given the dress new life, by dressing an entire family of their dolls with bits and pieces of the fabric! I love seeing the original fabric bodice, and how new life has been added to all the dolls. When I first saw these photos, I was reminded of the scene in 'Sound of Music' when Maria sewed clothing for all the children of curtain material. No where near as fine as these but definitely showing the same heart! LOVELY!!!
