I was in Berkeley yesterday, and fell in love with this magnificent painting at 'Tail Of The Yak'! Unfortunately it was $8,000.00 out of my price range!!! Ahhhh, but a girl can dream... Isn't she lovely???

I love your blog. The painting is wonderful but I couldn't help but noticed the stuffed Alexandrine Parrot in a case located underneath the painting. I have a real one of these birds at home. It makes me sad to see a stuffed one on display.

i used to go here almost weekly...such a magical place. ulla , have you heard of the book souvenirs--gifts from the garden? the illustrations & calligraphy were done by lauren.
Maybe we could go in halfs (halves?)?! Ha! Right!
I made it to Tale of the Yak with 5 minutes before the doors closed. Just those 5 minutes still has me enthralled. Maybe we could meet there sometime??
