Mundane To Profane!
These jeweled treasures are by Kristin Beeler. I love how she has made the commonplace (a bit of thread, a fly, scraps of paper and twisted wire) into the profane! Truly lovely!!!

Minutes before the magic hour, when the doors to Wonderland opened, the Queen of paper delights and her beautiful Princess set down the last of her polished silver, eager to greet her guests...

From a land far, far away, arrived the Queen of Photography with her delightful GODMOTHER, dripping in vintage lace and full of sparkle!

The Pixie Queen of Dolls graced us with her presence and kept us laughing...

While the Queen of American Harvests looked splendid in her glittering crown, here playfully posing with my own princess from afar!

Queen of Labyrinth's regaled us with Poetry and a few tears were spread...

And the Queen of Crown's brought glitter and sparkle and even more crowns to grace our festivities!!!

How could anyone resist such an invitation??? Lea and I are off to Lauren's House today for said 'Mad Tea Party'!!! Corey will be there, all the way from France, with her daughter Chelsea. 'Queen of Crowns' Donna with her friend Sharon of American Harvest have promised to come as well. New blogger friend Kristen will also be there, and last but not least, Nicol has promised us she will pause from her 'world travels' and take tea with us as well!!! Wow, I think I've lost count now, my daughter and Laurens daughter will be there as well, so this is sure to be a fun-filled party! Photos and story to follow!!!
This Enchantingly Lovely Lady came into my house recently... (when the moon was full, and there was a sweet scent in the air) a bit bare and showing all her 'wirey' curves. She has the most beautiful hand-painted face, a bit wistful and full of wonder. "Lace" she called, "to cover my bare skin, and remind me of cobwebs and attics..." you see she has a secret past, filled with wishes and wonder...
These incredibly beautiful dolls are by the multitalented Renae Taylor! A woman of many many talents Renae also makes these beautiful paper wings, that any fairy lover would covet!!! Somehow she also finds the time to draw, paint and sculpt many other delightful fairy like treasures not to be missed! ENJOY!!!
I really like these little paper dolls by Catherine of My Folk Lover! She tweeks 'Marie's Ship Headdress' and adds whimsy and delight! You can buy these as well as other wonderful pieces of Catherine's work HERE!!!

In my daily online prowling I have discovered the delightful clothing company called Gibbous based in Portland, Oregon. Oh my, If I had the time and closets that they do, truly this is how I would dress! Little bits and pieces of history, put together like a Victorian dress-makers puzzle! Don't miss their online Gallery, each image has multiple images, a fantasy of artistic wonderland designs!!! DREAMY!
"A stange and mysterious place to dream and create" is how Isabelle Strutz describes her new atelier that she opened in March! If the photos on her BLOG are any indication of her creativity and style, this is surely a place where magic and fairy-dust twirls in the air!!! Just look at the 'Cinderella lamp she found, and the wonderful 'Shepherdess' hat that she made. Her studio is filled with delights and whimsy where-ever one looks, demanding closer attention and making us wonder what else is hidden behind closed doors... I for one, would love to be a student in her delightful atelier, creating fairy crowns, jeweled bags of treasures and other amusements!!!!
Yesterday's 'FairyTale' class at the CASTLE was a little like a 'Who's Who' in local Blogland! Queen of Crowns Donna O'Brien came with the ever-talented Doll Maker Colleen Moody and the lovely Iva Wilcox! Truly, I believe Brianna's Angel was hovering over their table all day... Also in class was Lorraine, who flew in from Washington D.C., a true vision in PINK, we were delighted to learn that her lovely home was recently featured on Amy's Wonderful Blog Inspireco! You must go and take a look at it HERE!!! Three other lovely ladies also joined us, sweet and charming Carol, and the enchanting Shannon who treated her delightful friend Susy to a 'Birthday' treat of a class at the CASTLE! It was a fabulous day, and lots of beautiful fairytale pages were created!!! GREAT JOB GIRLS!!!
Better Late Than Never! Here is my Sample book for Tomorrows 'Fairytale Altered Book' Class at the CASTLE! I wanted this book to be child friendly, and also appeal to the child in all of us. Little children (tied on with silk ribbons) fly with birds, picnic with pink dragons, play 'dress-up', ride bell-peppers and bathe with ducks! We begin their story peeking out of a tea-cup and end with them all tucked in bed!!! The dog on the back cover has mirrors for eyes, since we all know we like looking at ourselves best! What better way to welcome childhood into our lives again?!!
