Old Paper - New Art
I love these signs by DEBBIE DUSENBERRY of Curious Sofa! She put actual old papers through her copier and the results are magnificent! I wish I lived near her shop in Kansas City - looks like a place to spend hours!
Debbie found inspiration from another shop owner, Elizabeth Maxson of The Adventures of Elizabeth in St. Louis! Elizabeth created entire walls of old paper - reminding me of my own shop window last year! She also used crumpled paper very cleverly - stuffed into glass containers! Both blogs are well worth a visit!!!

A friend directed me to your blog and what a surprise and how flattering that you featured my paper walls and table top design. Even more flattering are the lovely comments. Thank you for sharing - your blog is very inspiring! Thank you for all the links to other wonderfully creative blogs as well!

Elizabeth's shop looks so beautiful, more unique than any shop I've seen in a long time. Thank you so much for sharing these pictures. I was so inspired and just loved the beauty and uniqueness she shares in her interiors! I wish I could visit her shop, too! I especially love the paper walls and use of old paper in the domes, etc. So ingenious!! All the history and feeling in that paper!! Do you think the trees feel happy that we are appreciating their spirits?

Ulla.....It is so nice to see a post about the midwest!!!!! I have been to the Curious Sofa (several hours drive from St. Louis and where my baby and his wife live:) and then to see you featuring the Elizabeth House blog....WOW! That is around the corner from where I teach. What a thrill......From the blogs you would think that most art takes place on the coasts or in Colorado:)....ha....ha! It probably does.....but it is still nice to see things from good old Missouri:)
