A Map of Another Name
Just when I thought I had seen everything one can do with collage, along comes Peter Clark!!! Just look at what he makes with maps and other papers... Clothing, dogs, fish, gloves... the list continues! His sense of 'direction' and 'perspective' is whimsical and fun... colors, lines, and 'countries' become something entirely else with his imagination and skill. Now I am dreaming up a dress of Denmark, with matching hat of Paris... (Check out the Summer 2006 issue of Fiberarts for more on Peter.)

These collages are fantastic, interesting ideas for wearable art, inspiring: makes me want to write stories alongside of them!

Look at that jacket! Look at those gloves! I'd love to have both hanging up on my home. You know, it would be great to have the regular news media cover such beautiful artists and their work. A daily dose of beauty.

I just discovered him yesterday too. I saw some of his work in a gallery window in Cambridge. Unfortunately the gallery had just closed so I didn't find our who it was. I nice bit of synchronicity seeing it here today.
