Language of Flowers - Class Sample
Well, here it is just weeks until my 'Language of Flowers' Altered Art Class (MAY 13), and I just finished the sample. Amazingly the class is almost full! I enjoyed making this one, its tiny and intimate. I especially like the flower-pot page where all the little 'flower ladies' pull out and have their 'meanings' printed on back... The front cover has a vintage watch case 'reliquary' inset into the book, with a mica top. (I have one for each student!) I always have to go easy on my class samples and not overdue it, so I don't intimidate my students. For more information on the class please see the Castle in the Air websight.
This is so fantastical, I love it!!

Ulla this is absolutely magnificent. I LOVE IT! Every page of it. I enjoy your blog so much and had I not stopped by here earlier today I may have forgotten Mrs Staggs birthday, so thank you. Your post to her was lovely today also.

Ulla, I like the "plants" cut from handwritten paper in the top spread. I've noticed Pam G. do something similar as well- it's a nice effect!

I love the book and wish I could take one of your fabulous classes. As I feel the itch to start playing around with this kind art, I think...where would I put all the stuff I need to collect to do this?! As with yarn, I'm sure stash management is a whole other issue. Thanks for the inspiration.

Oh, Ulla... I want to be in your classes too!!! The pages are wonderful ... for some reason I especially like the one that features the rings. I love circles!
I'm still amazed at all that you manage to get done!!!!!

Oh Ulla, these are wonderful pages and I bet you can guess which one is my favorite! So funny...I was just looking up flower meanings the other day....somedays I think I have nothing to blog about and that I should just give it up. Then I visit your site, and I think "But I would miss Ulla so much!"

Ah, so sweet this is! Ulla, you must have so many things swirling about in that mind of yours...just waiting to be expressed! Like the post above...you are much too far away... to be a part of such a class would be a delight!
