Seven Seas Fabric Necklace Aug 25
This class will be held at Castle In The Air, Berkeley, CA
Sightings of merbabies are rare, but a wee one hidden within a fanciful fabric necklace has floated into Castle in the Air. She's surrounded by tiny shells and nestled among silky, shimmering fabrics that mimic the ever changing colors of the sea. Ulla will bring her wonderful stash of fabrics and trims for you to play with as you cut, fray, burn, twist, and twirl the materials into whimsical shapes for your necklace. She'll also show you how to create special effects with embellishments and some simple sewing. The merbaby is pre-molded by Ulla out of polymer clay. You'll have the fun of painting your little mermaid and, if you wish, working with Apoxie Sculpt to decorate her further.
Fee: $115; includes materials. Bring fabric scissors, and feel free to bring favorite scraps of fabric, ribbon, lace, trim, yarn, buttons, and other embellishments that evoke the sea.
