Sea Dragon Fabric Bracelet July 1
This class will be held at Castle in The Air, in Berkeley, CA.
Ulla has miniaturized her magnificent dragon sculpture to create this exotic bracelet, which looks like it's graced the arm of a mermaid queen. The bracelet is made of layered and embellished brocades, silks, and other fanciful fabrics from her collection. She'll teach you her techniques for stiffening the fabric and shaping it into a three dimensional piece. She'll also teach you some simple yet eye-catching ways of embellishing your work. It's the structural integrity and finishing touches that make this one-of-a-kind bracelet special. Although she's made a sea dragon, you're free to interpret the techniques to create your own colorful bracelet.
Fee: $115; includes materials. Bring a pair of fabric scissors, and feel free to bring your own favorite fabrics, trims, and buttons to use.
