Enchanted Flower Theatre July 15
This class will be held at Castle in The Air, Berkeley, CA
Imagine your favorite flower as a pretty young maid hiding a miniature scene within her skirts. Ulla has created just such a figure using an artist's mannequin for the body. It fairly blooms with possibilities for telling a story. The face, hand-molded by Ulla and then painted by you, is surrounded by crepe paper petals. The body of the mannequin wears a layered costume fashioned from a variety of papers, trims, and embellishments. A peek under her skirts shows a fanciful paper theatre scene—a lovers' tryst, perhaps, or a dreamlike garden? Give your imagination free rein as you decide.
Fee: $105; includes all supplies, but feel free to bring additional papers, ephemera, and embellishments.
Instructor: Ulla Milbrath. Limit: 8 students.
